Question: Are the paper straws compostable?

Answer: Yes, all of our paper straws are compostable and made from FSC Certified paper. Paper drinking straws will biodegrade in 60-120 days, depending on their end-of-life disposal method.

Question: Will paper straws get soggy in my drink?

Answer: Paper straws will not get soggy in your drink during the time of consumption. We estimate this to be around 60-90 minutes. Our straws our made from at least 2-ply, FSC Certified paper. This means you get the strongest paper for drinking straws, compared to the cheaper Chinese-made 1-ply straws. Make sure you are choosing high-quality paper straws as not all paper straws are created equally!

Question: What sizes of paper straws are available?

Answer: We have a variety of different sizes for any drink application. 5.75″ straws are perfect for short cocktail glasses. 7.75″ length paper straws are great for your standard pint glass used for sodas, juices, or tea. We even have 10″ length paper straws which are great for those large format drinks and shared cocktails like a 60 oz margarita! (our team’s personal favorite).

Question: Do I need to use a wrapped paper straw for my business?

Answer: Rules are different in every city. For example, in New York you are required to use wrapped drinking straws when serving a customer in a foodservice establishment. Our recommendation is to contact your local Office of Environment for more information regarding the rules in your location. The good news is that we have wrapped straws available in several colors and sizes.

Question: Can I custom print the paper straws with my logo?

Answer: Yes, absolutely. Custom printing for paper straws is available to all. You can also print on the wrapper of a wrapped straw. Minimum orders do apply and start at 8 cases, or around 50,000 straws.
